Trick or Treat!
Tomorrow is Halloween, and as I have a violin lesson in the evening, I will do my Halloween post tonight. I apologize for being so long in posting...all the elements of my life are currently in a battle for my attention...I cannot wait until November 11 because that means everything is over and I don't have school so I can sleep in and maybe get caught up on myself. Right now, it's murder trying to carve out an hour to watch television or read. I have to put other things I really should be doing on the back burner just so I don't lose my sanity...but that's an introverted thing, I guess.
Anyway, Halloween is tomorrow! I love dressing up, and if I could, I would wear a costume to school tomorrow. But alas, I cannot, so I shall resort to daydreaming about it (although I probably won't sit with my head in my hands, arms propped on my desk, staring out the window and sighing happily about this...that isn't what I mean by daydream).
Even though I am not in a couple and even though I have not been invited to any Halloween parties this year (mostly because no one is throwing any around here...boo!), I still have a list. I have a list for everything--you hopefully have realized this by now.
And so, here are the top 5 couples costumes I want to someday wear.
1. Lily and Herman Munster
I love The Munsters! And I love how in love Lily and Herman were and the way they went through life, completely oblivious to how strange they were. They were just happy (and yes, I know they are fictional characters and all that, blah blah blah). But they are very good role models in the area of being oneself.
2. Bonnie and Clyde
I would love to dress up as the Bonnie and Clyde from the movie starting Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. Even though they were outlaws and robbed banks and all that awful stuff, I think it's great that they stuck together through it all. Of course, it didn't end so well, but who said Halloween costumes had to have a happy ending?
3. Fred and Daphne
Now that the blonde has officially deserted the strawberry in my hair, I could totally pull off the redheaded Daphne. And how adorable is her outfit--the scarf, the headband, the purple shoes?
4. Rapunzel and Flynn
I was trying to think of my favorite Disney princess of all time, and although I love most of the others, the prince always seemed to leave something to be desired. So maybe I don't need a prince, but a rogue :) Hence, Flynn Ryder. And Rapunzel's dress isn't quite as intense as Cinderella's. But honestly, I would do any Disney pair--Wendy and Peter, Pocahontas and John Smith, Belle and the Beast, Ariel and Eric...
5. Leia and Han
Is there a greater couple in the entire galaxy? They fought, they kissed, they argued, they loved each other. I would also most definitely do Aragorn/Arwen or Eowyn/Faramir or Tauriel/Legolas or any Tolkien character/any other Tolkien character. But the Leia and Han combo is more recognizable and probably easier to come by.
Happy Halloween!
Stay gold :)
