Confessions of a Hobby Lobby Enthusiast

Hi, I'm Kaitlin, and I'm an addict.

Not like with drugs or alcohol. No, I'm talking about the black hole in my life that sucks away my money and leaves behind a gaping void.

That's right. Hobby Lobby.

I love Hobby Lobby {honestly, these days, who doesn't?}. With Pinterest and DIYing all the rage right now, Hobby Lobby is your best bet for so many of those projects that fill our Pinterest boards and Facebook feeds. Sure, Michael's is great, too, as is JoAnn Fabrics, but there is just something about Hobby Lobby. It has all the crafting supplies you could possibly need, plus decorative items for any color scheme or room theme.

So, without further ado, meet the source of all my crafting woes.

Or, as I like to call it, the TOP 5 REASONS I SPEND TOO MUCH AT HOBBY LOBBY.

1. The Yarn Section

Have you ever visited this glorious haven? All the yarn in all the colors and sizes you could possibly need to knit anything you could possibly want. Unless you want worsted weight wool yarn to knit a very tiny German Shepherd. You won't find that there. But whether you're an arm knitter, a needle knitter, or a crocheter, you can find the supplies you need:  needles, hooks, yarn, pattern books...all of the things!

2. The Clearance Section

Hobby Lobby's clearance section is one of my favorites. They always have some kind of treasure you can find for cheap, cheap, cheap! I've bought fancy colored pencils, bulletin board borders, stickers, scrapbooking embellishments, charms and beads, gift-wrapping supplies, yarn...there isn't much you can't find there!

3. The Scrapbooking Section

Paper. Pens. Stickers. Embellishments. Cardstock. Stamps. Washi Tape. Scissors. Albums. Die cuts. If you can't go to a specialty scrapbook store {one of my favorite things to do when I visit someplace new, by the way}, then Hobby Lobby is a pretty good great second option. {I just love the racks and racks of paper!}

4. The Jewelry Section

Whenever I walk down the aisles filled with beads and charms, I find myself wishing I had the time to create my own jewelry. And the patience. And the creativeness/style. I've gone through stages before where I buy a lot from this section and then never actually make any jewelry. It might be easier if you have an idea in mind before you decide to dive into this section.

5. The Decor Section

I love the framed prints and the throw pillows and the mirrors and the storage options. Plus, everything comes in multiple colors {or already coordinated colors}. Gotta love that!

So, what's your favorite thing to shop for at the ol' Hob Lob? And seriously, if you ever need someone to go with you...let's just say I never turn down the opportunity to give them more of my money.
